uu BETTY TO THE RESCUE' FANNIE WARD The Lasky studio was nearly raided by the police during the taking of the scenes of "Betty to the Rescue," in 'which Fannie Ward will appear in the atellar role on the Paramount program at the Alhambra tomorrow and Monday. Mon-day. In some of the mining camp scenes a large roulette table was employed em-ployed V hen not in use this table w;is stored In a vacant room near a i street. An enterprising property man, noting the fact that the table was in full operation, started a full size roulette rou-lette game. A tip was sent out and at night the door was oprned to the street and friends admitted. By accident acci-dent It was discovered just in time to be stopped before the police, who had been advised of the game, reached the studio.
