Show Society DANCING PARTY ENJOYED. The Parents' class of the Ninth ward Sunday school entertained last night x a dancing party, in the V I" t acud-emy. acud-emy. About one hundred ami fifty persons attended the affair and enjoyed en-joyed a progrum of twenty-two dm to music furnished by Prot. L V Nichols' orchestra. A specinl feature of the occasion was an exhibition oi the standardized modern dances by Miss Anna Williamson and AJonso West. This proved very Interesting to the crowd and the dlBCeri were warmly applauded. The part y was bold under the direction of the entertain-ment entertain-ment committee of the Parents' class, with W. A. Koldewyn as chairman. DINNER AND CARD PARTY. The L. J. Thomas home on Barlow avenue was the scene of a delightful dinner and card party, Monday even ing of this week, when Mi and Mrs. Thomas entertained the member! Ol th' Klitat club and their husbands. Decorations unusuaJly artistic made a pleasing atmosphere for the coim' nlal crowd, those in the dining room being particularly attractive These consisted con-sisted of a crystal basket blooming over with pink sweet peas, tied with maline, and Kewples which extended from each side and formed a beautiful beauti-ful center piece for the table. The dinner was an elaboraio six course affair with an individual icecream ice-cream Kewple for dessert. Following the dinner, several hours were passed at "R00 " The guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas were Messrs. and Mesdames Carl Watson, George R. Grecnweii, L. D. Olson. Phil. Brophy, L. B. Fail, and L. J. Parry. RETURNHOME. S S Stack, manager of the Lyceum and Rax theatres, has returned from Topeka, Kas.. where he visited his mother for the past three weeks. RETURNS HOME Miss Delia Marie Daniels of Log in, who has been the house guest of Mai i ha Scudder for Hie past two weeks, returned to her home Wedm day. WHITE ROSE CLUB Mrs. H. Day, 2247 Van Buren avenue, entertained members of the White Rose club last Wednesday, January 17 at her homp. The afternoon was rao6t pleasantly spent. This will be the annual celebration of the club, and will undoubtedly be an elaborate affair. PAST NOBLE GRAND CLUB The Past Noble Grand club will meet on January 25 with Mrs. E. BRIDGE CLUB The Duplicate Auction Bridge club met at the Maids' and Matrons' club-rooms club-rooms last Wednesday afternoon. Card games were enjoyed and refreshments served. KENSINGTON TEA Mrs. Sidney Johnson will be hostess to the members of her club at a Kensington Ken-sington tea next Thursday afternoon, January 25, at her home In the Fair-view Fair-view apartments. ENTRE NOUS CLUB Mr.- Frd Herrington will be bostet to the members of the Lntre NbUB club next Thursday. January 25, at her home, 2525 Adams avenue. SEWING CLUB Mrs. Heber Scowcroft, Jr , will be hostess to the members of her sewing club next Wednesday, January 24. KLITAT CLUB The members of the Klitat club took their sewing to the home of Mr. L. B. Parley, on Madison avenue, Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon and there enjoyed a social visit In a cordial atmosphere provided by the hostess, while they sewed, The drawing room and parlor of the home was prettily decorated with violets and carnations. The Women's Relief Corps of the Dlx-Logan post has arranged for the appearance in Ogden of Karvel Hav-licek. Hav-licek. violinist; Paul Parks, baritone and Malvina Ehrlich. pianist on February 28 and March 1. The' artists art-ists wil appear at the Methodist church in two musicales. Mr. Hav-licek Hav-licek has played with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and is looked upon as an artist with the violin Mr. Parks was selected bv the National Na-tional Society for Broader ' Education as one of the best baritone singers appearing before the American public. pub-lic.
