Show SHIPS SUNK BY GERMAN FORCES London, Aug. 3 Eight steamera and one sailing vessel were reported sunk today. The Swedish liners Petia and Temls, both bound for Finland, have been seize'd by German warships. The following vessels were lost: Cocker Line steamship Britannic, British sailing vessel Margaret Sutton, Swedish steamer Hudiksvall and two others of snme nationality, two unidentified uni-dentified Finnish steamers, the Italian liner Letimbro and the British steamer steam-er I-lcighington. London, Aug. 3, 11:30 p. m Lloyds reports that the following vessels have been sunk: Steamer Bror Oscar, Swedish, 3CS tons; fate of crew unknown. Steamer Vormland, Swedish, 213 tons; fate of crew unknown. Steamer John Wilson, Norwegian, 797 tons; crew saved. ( Brigantine Margaret Sutton, British, 197 tons; crew saved. Several trawlers also have been sunk. Copenhagen, Hag. 3, via Londou, 11:30 p. m. The Politiken reports that the Danish steamer Katholm. 1201 tons has been sunk by a German submarine. |
