Reports from auditors are in from all counties except Salt Lake and personal per-sonal Investigation of valuations In Salt Lake county has prepared the members of the board to deal Intelligently Intelli-gently with them If the report should not be in by Saturday morning. Representatives of four counties appeared ap-peared before the board yesterday and made protest against certain contenv plated upward adjustments of assessed valuations. A delegation from Morgan county included County Commissioners,, L. L. Toon, Thomas Palmer and J. A. Par-ris, Par-ris, County Assessor George Brough and County Clerk O. B. Anderson. CommiBsioners Samuel Clark and John F, WalBh and Assessor W. O. Ste-phens Ste-phens represented Summit county. hUeAttonioy Dan B. Shields-appear ed on behalf of the merchants of Park City. Commissioner Arthur Hess and As sessor F. L. Layton of Davis county, and from Cache county Commissioners J. J. Facer and E. J. Bell, with H. G. Hnyball representing the merchants, completed the roll of protestors "who called at the capitol yesterday. Communications of protest were re. celved from V. P. Martin and Berten Allred of Grand county. County Clerk James O'Neil of "Uinta county and County Clerk R. T. Ashley of Millard county. No definite action on any of the pro tests has been taken by the board of equalization. All will be considered at once and equable adustments figured out. |
