Myles Shan-ley, Shan-ley, 2S years of age, is dead and several sev-eral other persons are severely injured in-jured as a result of an automobile accident ac-cident half way between Park City and Kamas at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon. aft-ernoon. The Dead. Myles Shanley, miner of Park City. The Injured. Mrs. Henry Hales of Park City, severely se-verely cut and bruised. Miss Maud Hurley of Park City, lacerated scalp. J. C. Crook of Park City, cut and bruised. The automobile, which was driven by J. C. Crook and contained delegates dele-gates to the Democratic convention at Kamas, skidded at a sharp turn in the road and turned over twice, pinning pin-ning the occupants underneath and injuring all of them but two. Myles Shanley, who was the most seriously injured, died at the hospital hospi-tal here shortly after 9 o'clock tonight to-night Mr. Shanley's mother, Mrs. Mary Shanley, who also was severely Injured, has not been told of the death of her son, the physicians fearing fear-ing that the shock might prove fatal. Mrs. Henry Hales, another member mem-ber of the party, was severely cut and bruised, but will recover. Miss Maud Hurley, city recorder of Park City, suffered a badly lacerated scalp, which required a number of stitches, but her condition is not considered con-sidered serious.- J. C. Crook, driver of the machine, was cut and bruised. William Wright and Mrs. Al Barnes were the only occupants of the car who escaped injury. or |
