Show Chicago Grain Chicago, Sept. 16 Increased selling sell-ing pressure on wheat with consequent conse-quent lower prices resulted today to a considerable extent from uneasiness uneasi-ness of holders regarding British trade restrictions against neutrals. It was not until after prices had undergone un-dergone a sharp setback that any authoritative au-thoritative opinions were forthcoming that the restrictions did not apply to wheat. The failure of foreign markets mar-kets to respond to yesterday's upturn hre tended further to cause weak owners to liquidate rather than to carry risks over until Monday. Opening Open-ing prices, which were tho same as yesterday's finish to 1 l-Sc lower, were followed by a material decline all around. Corn fell with wheat. Besides, it was said, frost predictions had not been fulfilled to the extent that had been generally looked for. After opening a shade to 6-8c lower, tho market continued to sag. Oats followed other cereals downgrade. down-grade. Bears, however, were not aggressive. ag-gressive. Provisions averaged higher with hogs. September pork touched a new high record for this season, $28.00. News of a Teutonic victory in Rumania Ru-mania helped to rally the market, but denials that grain was unaffected by the British orders relative to neutral trade tended to cause a fresh setback in prices. The millers' strike in Great Britain was also a bearish factor. Prices closed unsettled 1 3-4 to 2 5-Sc net lower with December at $1.48 1-S to 1.47 3-S and May at $1.48 to I. 48 1-4. Later tho corn market recovered a little with wheat. Prices closed nervous at 1-4 to 5-Sc net decline. Chicago Llvcstoc'k. Chicago, Sept. 1C.
