'Miss Clayton will play two groups, six numbers, and lovers of piano music mu-sic are promised a rare treat. The choir will balance the work of the soprano and pianist, with a group of V two selections and later, a single 5 chorus, and will appear In the. final number with Miss Gates. Sumner P. Nelson, assistant cashier of the First National Bank, was wedded wed-ded Thursday in the Salt Lake temple to Miss Edythe Johnson of Hyrum. Cache county. Following the wedding wed-ding ceremony they were registered at the Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City, until yesterdny, when they departed on a honey moon tour of the Pacific coast. Tho Home Culture club of Ogden held Its first meeting -of the 191G-1917 191G-1917 season at the homo of Mrs. T. W. Horn. Thirty-third street, Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. Following a business meeting the president gave her greeting greet-ing to the club members. In the discourse dis-course she defined tho duties of the various club members. Mrs. Edward Blchel, state secretary of the federated feder-ated clubs, gave an excellent report of the national convention held in May in New York City. T. U. The First Ward W. C. T. U. met on Wednesday at 'the home of Mrs Geo. Stoddard on Thirty-first street. The occasion was tho annual meet ing. After the reports of officers and committees the following delegate ,were chosen to attend the state con meeting reports of tho Day Nursery were read and submitted to the president, presi-dent, Mrs. Spargo after which a delightful de-lightful social hour was enjoyed during dur-ing which time the hostess served a 'lelicious course luncheon. The summer sum-mer home of Mrs. Becker was beautifully beau-tifully decorated for the occasion with sunflowers and autumn leaves. From 3 until 5 last Tuesday afternoon after-noon Mrs. Mary E. Fitzgerald and daughter, Mias Kathryn Fitzgerald, entertained over 100 guests at an afternoon aft-ernoon tea. Red tapers, Richmond roses and satin ribbon combined with plumosa formed the table decorations. In the reception recep-tion room yellow chrysanthemums wore used in decorating. A buffet luncheon was served. The Thatcher orchestra gavo a splendid program. This afternoon at the Maids and Matrons club, Mrs. A.
