Show TELEPHONE USERS SIGN ULTIMATUM Salt Lake, April 15. Differences between telephone users of the southern south-ern end of Salt Lake county and the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Tele-graph company reached a crisis last night when, at mass meetings held at various places, several hundred subscribers sub-scribers signed "rolls of honor" which pledge them to order their telephones disconnected before 9 o'clock Friday morning unless the corporation alters the form of contracts which it seeks to put into effect. In addition, it has been Intimated that if the telephone concern does not comply, subscribers will take It upon themselves to see that thfe instruments are removed. Perhaps the largest meeting waB that held at Murray in the city hall, at which 105 subscribers agreed, without with-out a dissenting vote, to refrain from the use of telephones. In addition, meetings were held at Midvale, West Jordan. South Jordan, Draper, River-ton, River-ton, Granite. Herriman, East Mill Creek, Holllday, Crescent, Fourteenth South in Granite high school, Granger, Gran-ger, Magna, Hunter, Garfield, Taylors-ville Taylors-ville and Sandy. |
