Show DEMOCRATS 01 THEIR WAY TO SITE C0HT! At 9 o'clock this morning about 30 delegates to the Democratic State convention con-vention in Salt Lake left Ogden over the Bamberger line. Delegations from the north did not arrive in Ogden Og-den until nearly 11 o'clock. It was originally planned to have the dole-gates dole-gates from Boxeldor and Cache counties coun-ties join the Ogden Democrats on their way to Salt Lake. At the convention in Salt Lake today to-day 8 delegates to the national Demo-crtic Demo-crtic convention at St. Louis, Juno 14, will bo elected, and a national committeeman com-mitteeman will bo selected. The contest con-test for committeeman is between the incumbent, W. R. Wallace, and James H. Hoyle, former candidate for the United States senate. To havo a larger delegation In tho St. Louis convention, it is said that likely 16 delegates will be elected, each to havo a 1-2 vote. The Weber county delegates aro about evenly divided in their choice for national committee man. Following the suggestion of state chairman S R. Thurman, county chairman chair-man W. H. Lowder, within the next few days, will call together tho Democratic Demo-cratic executive committee of Weber county to perfect the organization of the county central committee. The committee will select a county chairman, chair-man, secretary and treasurer and a committeeman from each district Following is the personnel of the executive ex-ecutive committee: T. S. Browning, Samuel Thomas, S. S. Smith, Joseph Chez and Wade M Johnson of Ogden, and D. D. McKay and Frank Hubbard of the country districts. |
