Mercantile Marines were the chief features, the common opening with blocks of 3000 and 2500 of shares at 19 3-4 to 20. un changed at the latter quotation, while the preferred at 74 1-4, gained a substantial sub-stantial fraction. Industrial Alcohol rose over 3 to 1G4 1-4, with advances of 1 to 2 points in the motors, Crucible Cruci-ble Steel, American and Baldwin Locomotives, Lo-comotives, Mexican Petroleum and American Smelting.
