Show CHAUTAUQUA ASSURED FOR 1916. The annual meeting of the Utah Chautauqua assembly was held last evening In the office of Dr. E. P. Mills in the Lewis block on Washington Washing-ton avenue. Ten of the fifteen members mem-bers of the board wero present and the success of the recent Chautauqua and plans for the 1916 assembly wero Informally discussed. The fact that some profit was realized re-alized from tho sale of tickets of admission ad-mission to tho sessions of the 1915 assembly removed all doubt that the assembly would be continued as a permanent institution In Ogden. Dr. E. P. Mills, who presided, said the fact that the board was so well pleased with the character of the entertainment en-tertainment and Instruction afforded at the last meeting, together with tho fact that all who attended were more than satisfied with the various numbers, num-bers, which embraced a wide range of subjects, was responsible for a renewed contract with the booking concern, and that the people were again Insured the opportunity of profiting prof-iting by tho array of talent that will be displayed here next year A complete corps of officers was elected as follows: President. Dr. J. R. Morrell, first vice president. D. II. Adams; second vice president, F. F. Smith; secretary. Dr. E. P. Mills, treasurer, O. A. Parmley. |
