Show a ELECTRIC SHOW 1S PROVING BIG SUCCESS I Tho attendance at the Electrical n I Prosperity Show, beln conducted in H a the Dee-Eccles building, last night I I reached a total of several thousands fl I and all who saw the exhibits were I B much surprised at the numerous dif- I I fercnt types of electrical equipment, g I Features of special interest were I the different demonstrations of the I I quality of Ogden food- products as N prepared for the table on electric I I ranges and stoves, small and large. In I I one room of the exhibit building, ev- 0 ery dis of a regular menu, from soup I I to coffee and candy, was prepared and I I served free of charge to the people I visiting the show. This was an un- U 1 expected treat and all who partook 1 I of tho several different foods ex- D I pressed a high opinion of their I I quality. I Among tho products that created II I particular interest were those of the I I Evcrfresh Food company, which Man- I I ager C C. Michenor and several as- II I sistants were serving, and those of 1 1 the Utah Canning company, which I I were served by Secretary Herbert 1 I Herrington and assistants. The prod- 1 I ucts of the latter company included I I the new Pierce table syrup, which is 1 I just being placed on the market. De- 1 P licious pancakes were served with I I the syrup and the combination proved I I a fine dish. 1 1 An exhibit that is considered one of I the most interesting in the entire elec- J i trical show, is that of the Utah Power , & Light company, which is combined in one booth with that of the Ogden , Furniture & Carpet company. It is ah representation of a modern home, equipped with the finest of modern! furniture and electrical appliances and gives the auditor an idea of perfect comfort in home life. Hot biscuits, made by two seniors of the Weber academy, were demonstrated demon-strated at the next booth, that of the Ogden Milling & Elevator company. The young ladies made these excellent excel-lent biscuits from the High Patent flour, using Mountain Brand Lard, Inland In-land Salt, Table and Preserving Sugar Su-gar and other Utah products. Much interest is being shown in this display of Mountain Brand lard, bacon and ham, including the new cartons of the Mountain Brand. Everclear tea, packed by the Russell-James Russell-James company, is also being demon-t demon-t strated at these booths. I The largest booth on the east side is one jointly occupied by the Gcrding I Tee Cream company and the Hudson I Chocolate Shop. Both companies are showing what can be produced from Table and Preserving Sugar, the product prod-uct of tho Amalgamated Sugar company com-pany plants. Mrs. Annie Gerding Shaver, formerly of Tennessee, and now of Ogden, has a, case of bcauti- fully decorated cakes. Never before in Ogden has there been a more artistic ar-tistic display of decorated cakes and hundreds of visitors to tho show have marveled at them. The company is also demonstrating charlotte russe, ice cream and cake. The Hudson Chocolate Choco-late Shop has a display of candy canes and is also distributing candy. I At the rear of tho room is a magni-l magni-l ficent display placed by tho Amalga-I Amalga-I mated Sugar company, a huge but well arranged pile of sacked sugar in tho various sizes of bags from ten "to 100 pounds each. This is decorated in red, white and blue. Along the fwest wall are the displays dis-plays of the Richardson-Hunt company, com-pany, the Banner Canning company and the Goddard Pickle & Preserve company. Richardson-Hunt's demonstration demon-stration is of the coffee roasted at that company's store, recently introduced intro-duced on the market The Van Alen and Banner lines of J canned goods are being shown at tho Banner company booth and there is a demonstration, supervised by Miss Taylor, of the spaghetti and the pork and beans that are packed by the Banner Ban-ner factory. At the Goddard Pickle & Preserve company booth the merits of the various vari-ous kinds of pickles are being shown, the display being given over to the twenty-four different varieties of God-I God-I dard products. There are three other food products displays at the show. In the electrical electric-al display section are tho Shupc-Wil-liams Candy company booth and the window 'for the Superior Honoy company. com-pany. Both of these have been given much attention and the complete line of goods Is shown in each instance. The Standard Bottling Works window win-dow in the west room of the show Is an extremely artistic one, placed by I j Manager Norton. I |
