Postmaster-General Postmaster-General Burleson conferred with President Wilson today- over appointments appoint-ments of postmasters at New York and Brooklyn. The term of E. M. Morgan, postmaster at Now York, ox-pires ox-pires December 24 and W. E. Kelly, postmaster ot Brooklyn, resigned to become county clerk. Representative Fitzgerald has recommended rec-ommended P. J. Cleary for tho Brooklyn Brook-lyn office, but it Is said at the pOBt-offlcc pOBt-offlcc department that he will not get the place "for departmental reasons." Mr. Fitzgerald will be asked to recommend recom-mend some one else. The postmaster-general Is conferring confer-ring with the New York City congressional congres-sional delegation about the New York appointment. |
