Representatives of forty-six states and Canadian provinces prov-inces who attended the National Con-ferencp Con-ferencp on Marketing and Farm Credits, Cred-its, issued a statement today ombody-ing ombody-ing a score of recommendations to congress urging its co-operation in improving im-proving conditions affecting the American farmer. The statement asked the appointment appoint-ment by congress of a commission of five members to investigate tho results re-sults of land settlement in the west and other sections of the country "to remove the obstacles to acquiring farms." Existing conditions In tho irrigation sections of the country could be corrected, cor-rected, the statement added, by the enactment of legislation by the states or by the nation which would provide money to bo loaned to settlers.
