Show JJ. BROWNING HOME IS DAMAGED BY ' A BLAZE One of tho most costly fires in a private house that has visited Ogden Og-den in many months occurred this morning when tho homo of John M. The inventor, his wife and two daughters, are now in California on a pleasure tour, and owing to their absence, no definite estimate of the damage could bo made. The fire was discovered by Thomas Holroyd. a member of tho city fire department, who was on his way home to lunch. Kenneth, the sixteen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Browning, who was taking tak-ing care of the home, left it about 9 a, m. and at that timo everything was apparently all right. The fire was discovered by Mr. Holroyd at 11-25 a. m. The house is located at Adams avenue and Twenty-seventh street and was one of tho finest residences resi-dences in the city. Late this afternoon the cause of the fire was traced to a short circuit |
