The admiralty declines to com- jjH ment on the report published abroad 'jH that the German submarine U-30 had !j been sunk off a German port by ac- H cldent, in consequence of a deficit in M operation, but subsequently had been raised. Official Information is re- jH fused also concerning the fate of the IH crew. As the German navy has .t M special ship for raising sunken craft lil and other facilities for coping with lH such emergencies, the report may 1 quite possibly be true. ' IH A dispatch from Amsterdam on j H July 5 said that the U-30 had been H sunk off the mouth of the Ems and j H raised 36 hours later, one member of H tho crew losing his life. H |
