Show IDIN IRO BOY SCOUTS 01 HIKE Twenty-four members of tho Ninth Ward Boy Scout battalion, under the command of Scout Master Robert Wilson, Wil-son, departed this morning over tho Oregon Short Line for Logan, Utah, on the first stacc of a Journey to Bear Lake. In addition to Scoutmaster Wilson, the boys wore chaperoned bv Bishop W. 0. Ridges of tho Ninth ward, Alma Lindsay of the Weber stake Y. M M. I. A. stake presidency, and Gordon Croft, assistant scoutmaster. scoutmas-ter. The party was joined at Ogden by several boy Scouts from Salt Lake City and a number of Logan Scouta, chaperoned by Dr. Ray of that city and two professors from the Utah Agricultural college will be met at Logan. The Ninth ward Scouts, who formed the main body of the party, are as follows: fol-lows: Beaver patrol Richard Van den Berg, leader; Clement Koldewyn, assistant as-sistant leader; Frank Douglass, Eugene Eu-gene Barnes, William Koldewyn, Ivan Jensen, Harris Ridges, Edwin Garner, George Fowler Eagles patrol Leland Richards, William Jarman, Ezra Steele, Earl Co- rey, Byron Halveraon, Sidney Wilcox. Ellsworth Wilcox, John McCune. Russell Rus-sell Petty and Thomas "Norton buglers, bu-glers, William Crawford and Lowell Ridges color bearer. Delbert Wright. President L. W. Shurtllff of the Weber stake, and Bishop's Counselor D. F. Steele of the Ninth ward will depart for Ideal Beach in an automobile early next week and will join the boy Scouts at Ideal Beach. oo |
