A Howell's division next Monday, will Include more criminal crimi-nal cases than have been on the district dis-trict court calendar in months The criminal calondar includes two cases against J. H. Martin, one charging robbery and tho other alleging alleg-ing that he used nltro-glycerlne In an attempt to blow up the residence of L. R. Eccles, manager of the Amalgamated Amalga-mated Sugar company. TJho other cases are against J. T. Hall, grand larceny; Y. Hopp, misdemeanor; Ho-ken Ho-ken Olsen, two cases. Illegal sale of Intoxicants: C Manos and George Pappas, grand larceny, two cases; William Ryan, grand larceny; N. A Krecken, grand larceny; William Smith and Joseph Poster, felony, and William Jones, burglary. It Is said that in all likelihood neither nei-ther of the cases against Martin will be sot for hearing iti September, as attorneys in other criminal cases ar9 seeking early trials, and it is considered consid-ered that tho Martin case can be held over for later trial hotter than some of the others. Criminal cases will take precedence over civil cases in the setting time for trial. on |
