Show NEVER-RIPS DEFEAT THE WALK-OVERS With "Brose" Hill on tho mound, the Never-Rips baseball team won its second game this week, yesterday evening at Glenwood. The losing team was the Walk-Overs and the score -was 6 to 0. In tho previous contest, Hill shut the Glasmann Bowlers Bowl-ers out without a hit and struck out ten men, while last night he held the hard hitting Walk-Overs to two hits and struck out eight men. The Walk-Overs Walk-Overs played unusually ragged ball, registering a total of eight orrors, while tho Nover-Rlps backed up their heady pitcher with errorless ball. While the team work of tho Never-Rips Never-Rips was perfect, the sensational plays of the game were staged by three Walk-Over players, Yearsley, Falck and Layman. Yearsley made a shoe-string catch of a fly after a hard run from left -flold, and Falck' caught a ful fly near the right field fence Layman's feat was tho stabbing stab-bing of a grounder that looked good for a clean single H Stone, the Never-Rips' catcher, was the star hit-1 ter, getting two singles and a two-bagger two-bagger out of three times up. Tomorrow afternoon at the ball park, the Never-Rips will meet the Peery-Knisely team 'for tho third tlmo this season. The latter tea.m took both of the previous games and tho third meeting Is expected to prove of unusual Interest as the Nevor-RIps are determined to turn the tables. This game will bo the second contest of the regular doubleheador and tho first one will be played by the Glas-'mann Glas-'mann Bowlers and the Eagles, begin ning at 2:30 o'clock. A half hour prior to the opening ot the first game, the league officials will sponsor a series of field contests between the players of the four teams.
