Show ANNUAL REPORT MADE BY CHIEF OF POLICE Provo. Jan. 11. Chief of Police Jesse Manwaring has submitted his report for 1915. It shows 2154 arrests, ar-rests, but of these 1S46 were transients tran-sients who were given lodgings, eighty-five were for Intoxication, thirty-three thirty-three for vagrancy and twelve for disposing dis-posing of intoxicating liquors. There was collected in fines and forfeited bail, S132S.40, and 7216 meals were served to prisoners. At the meeting of the city commission commis-sion last evening a communication was read from a committee (Dr. T. B. Beatty, chairman) appointed by Governor Spry to take steps to prevent pre-vent rabies. The committee recommends recom-mends that all cities enact ordinances for licensing dogs and providing for killing unlicensed dogs after thirty days. City Recorder Fred Evans has reported re-ported license fees amounting to $5466.60 collected in 1915. The city treasure's report for December De-cember shows $33,?98.5S received for the general fund and $13,803.52 for special funds. For the year $67,499.58 was collected for the -general fund and $60,130.69 for special funds. |
