ARTHUR HAUSER TRIAL RESUMED Alleged Murderer ofWoodmen of World Cashier Suffers from Tonsilitis Jury Not Finished. Omaha, Nebr., Jan, 12. The trial of Arthur Hauser for tho murder of W. H. Smith, cashier of the Woodmen of tho World, was resumed here to-day. to-day. the trial judge deciding the ton-silttis ton-silttis from which tho prisoner is suf fering is not a sufficient reason for granting the request of the defend ants' counsel for postponement. Pre gress in the trial was stopped yesterday yester-day by city health officers who, after a brief examination, announced the prisoner had scarlet fever. A more careful diagnosis last night showed his Illness was tonsilitis. Selection of a jury to trv Hauser was not finished, although the defense had exhausted all its peremptory challenges but one, and twelve men were in the jury box.
