Show oo THE NEW SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT. Now that it seems to be definitely decided that the school board wUl proceed to oust Supt. Mills, the people are wondering who the new superintendent superin-tendent will be The Standard has a man in mind whojs eminently qualified, quali-fied, who holds a high position In school affairs in Ogden. We refer to the head of the Weber Academy, James L. Barker. We have heard that some of the directors of the Weber Academy look on Mr Mills. as the greatest educator of the age and several of the directors have openly op-enly given Mr. Mills a recommend. We propose a "swap " Let the Weber Web-er directors take Mr. Mills, and let the Ogden school board take Mr. Barker, and then everybody will be satisfied and Mr Mills will be among his closest friends, where he is appreciated. ap-preciated. We suggest this as a compromise. com-promise. Who will back the Stand ard in this hour of our school's crisis in order to bring peace and harmony to our people? There must be no back paddling. The men who publicly have proclaimed proclaim-ed Mr. Mills' great virtue must accept ac-cept him as their protege. They should be the first to approve of this move. Come, now, let's play fair. If necessary, let's play Mills' game. Call the people together and insist on the "swap." We believe a united pull of the people could induce both school boards to make the trade.
