Military 1-reparedness was advocated today by Dr. Benjamin Ide Wheeler, president of the University of California, in his annual address to the student body. He appealed to the students to c ' , operate with the military authorite : connected with the university and ! predicted the ultimate adoption by the United States of compulsory mill- tary training, similar to the plan foJ- lowed in Switzerland.
