Beatty, secretary of the state board of health, for assistance in determining the pathology of tho mysterious cases of blood poisoning that have become alarmingly recurrent recur-rent each year in different parts of tlie state A telegram received from the surgeon general yesterday Informed In-formed Dr Beatty that a specialist was being sent Immediately to investigate investi-gate tho malady. Dr. Beatty said that while tho deer fly is under suspicion as being the carrier o infection that causes the cases of blood poisoning, yet this is only a surmise. The occurrence of the cases of infection synchronously 3 ' with the bites of tho fly led to tie ' belief that this might bo the origin ol the disease. .
