Show oo PARENTS MOURN FOP J F0 CDAIW Home in Brooklyn Cast Into Deep Gloom and Family Begins Be-gins Eight-day Mourning Mourn-ing Period. New Y?rk. Aug. 17. When Rudolph Frank and his wife, parents of Leo M. Frank, learned definitely today that their son had been hanged near Marietta, Ga., they drew the shades at ail windows of their home in Brooklyn Brook-lyn and refused to answer the door bell, or telephone. Neighbors said the Frank family had begun an eight-day period of mourning, which was customary under un-der the Jewish religion. Early callers at tho Frank home were met by Otto Stem, Frank's bro-thor-In-law. Ho said that Mr. Frank and his wife were asleep and had not been told of the kidnaping of their son. Stern said he learned of the matter through the newspapers. Within two hours the family had received the word that Frank's body had been found hanging to a tree. nn |
