Calvert, surveyor, whb Is connected con-nected with the road improvement work in district 4, has just returned from work on the construction of the Kamas-Stockmore road, situated in the Uinta national forest. The road is now used extensively exten-sively by automobiles, and as many as forty have been encountered in one day along this road, and it is estimated es-timated that at least an average of sixty vehicles per day pass over tho road. The maximum grade of this road is G per cent. The Daniels Canyon road is highly praised not only by the residents of that section, but by all tourists who have passed over It. On that part of the road which has already been completed com-pleted automobiles can maintain a speed of forty miles per hour, conclusively conclu-sively showing that the construction and grade of the road is excellent. Tho fishing in this section of the country is good and game is plentiful. oo |
