It was also claimed In the petition that secondhand second-hand stores are detrimental to the best commercial Interests of the city. The matter was referred to tho committee com-mittee of tho whole. The petition of property owners for an arc light on Jefferson avenuo and Thirteenth street was referred to the superintendent of streets.
