Show FOUR YOUNG MEN FACEJANGING Kansas City Citizens Threaten to Lynch Parties Who Attacked Woman. UNDER HEAVY GUARD Offense Punishable in Missouri Mis-souri by Hanging All Held Without Bond. Kansas City, Mo., March 11. Several Sever-al hundred persons today threatened to lyneh'the four young men identified last night by Mrs. Gertrude Shidler as members of the band of six who lured her to a room at a resort and brutally attacked her'Monday night. A detachment of police started to take the four prisoners before the county prosecutor. The crowd surged surg-ed so close that the officers could not push through. A man lunged at one of the prisoners and was felled by a blow from a policeman's club. By this time the crowd had bocome so menacing that the prisoners were rushed back into a police station. The prisoners were taken to the prosecutors office later under heavy guard and Tormally charged with a statutory offense punishable in Missouri Mis-souri by hanging. The prisoners are Victor Guorin ger, 2G years old, one of the owners of the resort; L. V. Brennan, an insurance in-surance agent, 24 years old; Thomas L. Kinevan. a solicitor, 25 years old; 03car Harrison, 24 years old, a plumber's helper. All were held without bond. The i resort was closed by the police to-1 day. |
