Show APPLEQUIST IS STILL MISSING Salt Lake. Jan. 19 The police were given no new clews to work on yes terday in their search for Otto Ap-plequist, Ap-plequist, wanted in connection with the Morrison murders. The. authori ties were no better informed as to the possible whereabouts of the man last night than they were late Saturday Satur-day night. Communications from all parts of the state and from cities outside the state failed to give any substantial Information upon which the police de partment could work Detectives Cleveland and Carstensen went to Ogden early yesterday morning to arrest a third man against whom they had strong suspicions. The detec tives believed the man they were in search of lived in the same rooming house that Hillstrom did during the week preceding the murders. They were unable to hold the man on any definite charge in connection with the murders. Hillstrom is recovering rapidly according ac-cording to officials at the countv 'jail He Is gaining strength and is able to take food regularly. An effort was made yesterday to induce him to talk, but he refused, save for a few mutterings regarding the wounds in his breast and hand Efforts to make him talk will be made from day to day in the hope that he will tell something concerning his whereabouts where-abouts on the night of the murder.
