Show SOCIETY WEDDING RECEPTION. One of the most pleasing events of the month in Bri-gham City society was a wedding reception given Saturday Satur-day night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Chauucey W. West Mrs. West was formerly Miss Edyth Berg and the young couple are popular members of the younger social set of Brlgham City. The reception was given by Mr. and Mrs, Joseph A. West, the parents of the groom, at their borne on Second West street and among the invited guests were relatives from OgJen. Logan Lo-gan and Salt Lake City, Utah; Malad, Idaho, Denver, Colo, and Baker City, Oregon. The home was attractively decorated decorat-ed for the occasion and the guests were received by the host and hostess. The evening was spent in social conversation, con-versation, interspersed with songs pleasingly sung by Mrs. Alphonzo Nelson. Nel-son. Miss Martha Shaw and Victor Madson. Among them were, 'The Rosary," 'Sing Me to Sleep," "Marguerite," "Mar-guerite," 'Mother Dear," "You are the Ideal of my dreams" and "The Songs My Mother u?ed to Sing" The accompaniments were well pla.ved by the bride and Miss Mattie West and the singing was greatly enjoyed. Fruit punch and home-made candy was served during the forepart of the evening and at 10 o'clock a delicious supper was served, covers laid for forty guest6. The seizing was done under the direction of the hostess, by tho Misses Louise and Alice Berg and Mattie West. Before leaving for their homes, all present spoke their appreciation to the host and hostess for the pleasure that had been given them and wished the newly wedded couple a happy Tuture. Last Thursday evening fifty-three friends of Mrs. Thomas Lightfoot tendered ten-dered her a pleasant surprise at her home, 2510 A avenue. A feature of the evening's entertain ment was a clog dance. Various Knmes were enjoyed and vocal and instrumental selections rendered. Both old and young spent a delightful delight-ful evening and presented Mrs. Light-foot Light-foot with many dainty and useful gifts. HOSTESS TO "500" CLUB. Thursday afternoon of this week members of the "500" club will be delightfully entertained by Mrs Ralph E. Bristol. SURPRISE PARTY. Mr. H. C. Saunders was pleasantly surprised at his home, 427 Twentieth street, Friday evening, when a large number of friends and the Baggs, Crompton and Wiggs orchestra arrived arriv-ed for a merry evening.
