Show ELKS INITIATE MANY CANDIDATES FROM M'GILL, NEV. I Saturday night and yesterday were marked with events of much importance import-ance to Ogdcn lodge No. 719, B. P. 0. Elks. Meetings were held in the forepart of the evening on Saturday and yesterday, at which a large number num-ber of candidates were initiated inLu the lodge, the new members beln from McGlll, Nev., and Evanston, Wyoming. Wy-oming. The visitors arrived in the city Saturday Sat-urday afternoon and were entertained at dinner about 6 o'clock, following which the ladies were taken to the Orpheum theatre and later In the eve ning to supper at one of the downtown down-town cafes. The men held a business meeting at 8 o'clock nnd, after some of the candidates were initiated and other special business matters attended to. a banquet was served which was said to have been "some feed." Folio wiug the banquet, the "stags" enjoyed an excellent program of entertainment furnished by the Orpheum orchestra and "talent" from Pantages vaudeville circuit and from Salt Lake. Yesterday morning the visitors were taken for a ride to the Hermitage and in the afternoon a business session was held. Last night an informal reception re-ception was given in honor of the new members and their ladies, a mu sical program being included in the closing affair. Refreshments consisting con-sisting of punch and wafers were serv ed during the evening.
