Show BRANZEG CASE TAKEN UNDER ADVISEMENT According to the story told hy J. M Branzeg in court this morning, the young Malad man charged with obtaining ob-taining money tinder false pretenses by cashing a check with A. L Kohn without having funds in the bank, he would not havo been in this trouble had his brother deposited the money owed him in the bank. He pleaded guilty to the charge, hut professed ignorance that there was no money back of the check issued Upon Up-on being pressed by Judge Reeder, he admitted that he had been drinking heavily some time. Deputy Sheriff Hob6on stated that there were other worthless checks in Ogden signed by Branzeg, in all aggregating ag-gregating $50, and that he has had an overdraft with an Ogden bank fori some time. Judge Reeder took the case under advisement. |
