Show FOUND IN PRISON member of church choir and student of sociology chicago nov 3 while friends and detectives have searched fir miss marle coulso hill member of the choir at the moody church student of sociology and commanding the of those who knew her intimately she has been a prisoner at the bridewell committed to the institution on her plea of guilty as a shoplifter she was sentenced oct 10 the day following her disappearance pe arance under the name of aenlo harold her dual existence and the mystery of her departure from her boarding place ended when the matron at tho bridewell confronted her with her picture in a newspaper and she admitted her identity she had concealed it she said because she wished to return to her friends with character unstained the police were notified and misa hill concealment no longer possible requested that dr W S assistant pastor of the moody and mrs H E brown from whose house ehe disappeared be mrs brown bad reached the institution and obtained alsa hills release by paying the part of her fine not worked out when dr jacoby and a detective arrived when miss HIU laft ber boarding place the day of her disappearance she eald ehe went to a stock brokers with whom she had dealings relative to gas stock which she had purchased then she went to a publishing house tor which she intended to canvass having drawn from bank she spent several hours shopping she was seen by a house detective in a department store buying a 16 bilk waist when arrested she gave the assumed name and said that her occupation waa that of a writer next day she pleaded guilty in the police court and was fined i 20 and costs 1 I hail spent 40 shopping and had plenty left to pay my fine she told tho police but would not do so because I 1 wanted to go toi the bridewell to study the prisoners I 1 have been interested te in sociology and bought it an opportunity to extend my studies |
