Show fLOOD DAMAGE ISJIEPIED Tho damago done to the Southern Pacific's tracks bv tho cloudburst In Nevada last weelt, has nearly all been repaired. Division Superintendent T. F. Rowlands returning to this city from the district last night. The Navada & California, branch of the Southern Pacific lines was the hoavlcst losor by the flood as at one point more thnn 5C0 feet of track was washed away. There was also considerable con-siderable damage to the tracks at Matlln, between Kelton and Urabrla Junction. This Is on the old line and the traffic was but little delayed by the flood. Tho Oregon Short Line also suffered suffer-ed by the floods. At Downey, Ida., a cloudburst carried away a hundred feot of embankment and did other damago. There was, however, no loss of life along tho Oregon Short Line as there was along tho Southern Pacific. Pa-cific. The tracks of tho Oregon Short Line have al60 been repaired and all the trains are running on their regular regu-lar schedules. |
