Show OPENING OF AVENUE The city engineer reported that in computing the figures on the proposed propos-ed opening of Hudson avenue, between be-tween Twenty-second and Twenty-third Twenty-third street, he found that the city had gained jurisdiction. The report was accepted by the city commissioners commission-ers this morning and the engineer Instructed In-structed to advertise for bids. On the report of the engineer that 47 2 ptr cent of the property owners on Jefferson avenue, between Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth and Twenty-seventh streets had been pledged to the paving of that avenue, the engineer was instructed to publish notice of intention. This will be done at an early date. The petition of property owners for the construction of a bridge across the canal at Thirtieth street and Jefferson Jeff-erson avenue and for tho installation of an arc light there was referred to the street department The petition of property owners for the enlargement of wnter mnins on Adams avenue, between Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth streets," was handed hand-ed to the superintendent of waterworks water-works for consideration. The petition for the establishment of a sewer district on Van Buren avenue, av-enue, between Capitol avenue and Twenty-fifth street, was given to tho street department. |
