Orth, secretary of the Hunts-vlllo Hunts-vlllo Improvement club, Is in the citv doing some little boosting for the j mountain town and, Incidentally, ad- vising his friends that there is some-,' some-,' thing In Huntsvillo besides Hoken Dl-j Dl-j sen. Mr. Orth states that the ImproVo-mont ImproVo-mont club was recently organized with ' men at the hoad of It who aro determined deter-mined to take Huntsvillo "out of cold f storage" and advertise the place in a way that will placo it In Its true light as an attractive mountain town. "We have been sleeping long ' enough," said Mr Orth, "and now that the awakening has come, there ' will be something doing for Kunts-1 Kunts-1 villo. We have so many natural fa- cilltlos and so many opportunities for agricultural, manufacturing and horticultural horti-cultural pursuits in Huntsvillo and the upper valley that it seems a shamo that they are not better known The object of the club is to place HuntSr vllle on the map of possibilities and encourage capital to come in and raai;p developments In' various commercial enterprises. ... ; "Not only will the club work iu the interests of -the corrtniercial' enterprises, enter-prises, but the educatlpnal and social bolng of the community will be looked after and a strenuous effort made to adyance in that -direction., Thqclty has gone bankrupt and has been dissolved, dis-solved, simply because thoro was not sufficient public spirit and common cial enterprise to make things go. Our club will endeavor to change conditions. condi-tions. "Definite plans have not yet been laid, but there will be much activity on the part of tho club as an organisation organisa-tion and on the part of Individual members this year -for the betterment of Huntsvillo and tho surrounding country. We want more people in tno valley and we have plenty of room for them." Mr. Orth states that tho club Is in ' favor of the establishing of a "Summer "Sum-mer Capitol" In the valley, three nillor. from Huntsvillo, and that other summering sum-mering places will receive encourage-mont encourage-mont An attempt will bo made to utilize the warm spring waters to good purpose. Mr. Orth states that it has been considered by most of the people that the valley is not fit for horticulture. I but It will be demonstrated In tho near future that the mountain country coun-try is best fitted for apple culture - of any In tho whole land. He says that the Iluntsyille apple excels all In flavor and size and that It is only a question of time when the vallov 1 will hecomo renowned for its luscious fruit The officers and directors of tho club are: i J.
