Show 1SCH TO INSPECT THE RIOGRANDE B. F. Bush, president of tho Denver & Rio Rrando railroad, will leave SL Louis March 1 for an extended trip over the lineB of the road. Places along the route he has marked for improvement will be given especial inspection. President BuBh visited Utah a month ago directly after he had been elected president of tho D." &. R. G and at that time he stated he would return in a month or six vceks for a ritay of several dayB to confer with the heads of departments concern-lug concern-lug Improvements for the road in this vicinity. Already the new president has started improvements at Soldiers' Summit, cutting the grade at this point from four per cent to less than two per cent. The work, when completed com-pleted will rnpan the expenditure of more than $1,500,000. and Is but ono of many similar improvements to be undertaken by the new head of the system. The road also contemplates tho standardizing of all the narrow-gauge lincG" of the system within the next four years. |
