Show USTM HAS DESERTED FAMILY Brlgham City, March 9. Two cases wero called before Product Justice Jenson last Monday and soon disposed dis-posed of. Ono case is very important, import-ant, in a public way, as It deals with the liquor traffic. Sometime ago Marshal N. J. Valentino Val-entino swore to a complaint against the Wells-Fargo Express (company for transporting liquor to this city without haviug it properly labeled. Tho city had no ordinance covering the case so it was turned over to tho county atlornev who is pushing It. Tho matter la now up to the District court and it sooms tho evidence against tho company makes a clear case. The other case was one familiar tp m)any In 'Brlgham OUy. Stephen Halliday was arroated in Ogden last week for deserting his wife and baby in this city. Some time ago he married mar-ried Elvira Hlllstrom but soon left the city without making provision for his wife. When located in Ogdon he was in the omployo of the Denver r& Rio Qyande Railroad company. At the trial Monday Justico Jensen required) that he-pay his wifo $30 por month, Tfor- twelve months,, which he agreed , 'to do and has now gone back to' work. |
