Show SECURITIES IN LOCAL MARKET John C. Cutler, Jr., Investment banker bank-er and broker, in his weekly trade lettor, writes as follows: The progress that has been made along thp lines of Improvement in business conditions throughout the United States is being maintained and trade operations show a much better feeling than has prevailed since tho beginning of the year. In Jiuropo tho tndustrlal disorders are cauBlng much anxloty as the coal miners' strike In England is assuming assum-ing grave proportions .and In closing so many mills and factories and tying up the business of that country. In Germany there are now strikes; tho Italian-Turkish war is not settled yet, and It looks as if England and Rub-Bla Rub-Bla will extend their" spheres of Influence In-fluence over tho whole of Persia. In thlB country there Is considerable political agitation, while In Mexico new outbreaks are conflnually occurring. oc-curring. Local trade conditons are fairly good In Utah. Jobbors and retailers report business about normal and probably a trifle better than at this time last year. Many now orders for actual 'requirements aro being placed. Collections Col-lections show somo Improvement, while money Is in fair demand with sufficient funds to meet legitimate requirements. Better prices are being be-ing received for lead, copper and wool, which Ib quite encouraging. Local stocks and bonds continue to be In fair demand and sevoral small sales were made during the week. It 1b hardly thought possible lhat tho great home Industry of making sugar from boots will be snuffed out of oxlstoncc by political tariff tricksters. trick-sters. Securities.
