Groom, 'of San Francisco, declares that his arrest is a part of a blackmailing black-mailing scheme. Detective Thomas Murphy, of the San Francisco Francis-co police department, left for Colorado Colo-rado Springs today to take into custody cus-tody Andrew F MacFarland, wanted on a charge of embezzlement preferred pre-ferred by Miss 'Ethel C. Groom, who declares she is MacFarland's former wife, and that she obtained annulment annul-ment of her marriage with him March 23. Mrs. ,T. J. Groom, mother of Ethel Groom, who Is out of the city, says "her daughter was married to MacFarland MacFar-land In Ogden, Utah, a few months ago. Tho annulment of marriage, she says, was secured after the discovery that MacFarland had another wife in Los Angeles, and later discoveries relating re-lating to two other marriages.
