Final rallies ral-lies in the various constituencies this week close tho parliamentary campaign cam-paign in this section, whore the Liberals Liber-als are fighting to hold the eleven scats which they occupied in the last house of commons, and to capture from the opposition tho other two St. John city and York county which make up tne thirteen to which this province Is entitled. They aro predicting pre-dicting that they will come out of the contest with tweise representatives, representa-tives, but admit doubt about winning York county, where, at the last election, elec-tion, O S Crocket, Conservative, defeated de-feated his Liberal opponent by more than S00 votes. The government workeVs are hopeful that Hon. William Pugsley, minister of public works, who Is" running 1n St. John city, and whose return Is expected wJtb confidence, confi-dence, will carry with him James Lowell as the city and county member, mem-ber, defeating Dr. J Daniel, Conservative, Conserva-tive, who was the SL John city member mem-ber in the last house, but is this time running in the county. On the other hand, the Conservatives Conserva-tives sa they will gain several seats In lle province an I will re-elect Crocket and DaWel and perhaps do-feat do-feat Pugsley himself. . The campaign for the last soven weeks hac been intense, particularly towards the cloe, and marked interest inter-est has been shown by the electors.
