Show ITALIAN STABS HIS COUNJRYMAN With blood streaming from a knife wound on his forehead, Guisleppe Vet-to, Vet-to, an Italian newcomer to this city, appeared at police headquarters about 10 o'clock last evening and told the police that he bad been stabbed by one of his countrymen whose name ho either did not know or could not pronounce, Vetto's iujur was a wound about one inch in length on the left Bide of the forehead. The injury was dressed and the man left after swearing out a warrant for his assailant as-sailant and giving tho' police a description de-scription of the man. The injured Italian could speak-very speak-very little English. He made tho officers of-ficers understand, however, that ho had engaged in a quarrel with bis countryman on Wall avenue, and during the fight which followed his assailant drew a stiletto, and after a hard struggle succeeded in Inflicting the wound on Vetto's forehead Tho latter fell to the ground and the other Italian ran. |
