Show oo MEXICAN PACIFIC IS NOW ASSURED Salt Lake, March 4, Final arrangements arrange-ments to build the Mexlcnn Pacific railroad from Salina Cruz, in contral Mexlso, down through the virgin territory ter-ritory of Oaxa'ca and Guerrero to Acapulcp harbor, on the west coast, havo been completed In New York, according to William H. Dunn and CharJes Snell, (former Salt Lakors, who roturncd from an extended trip through Mexican territory yesterday. The Mexican Pacific road was originally orig-inally financed in Salt Lake. It has a concession from tho Mexican government govern-ment to extend Us lines through tho two states of southom Mexico tapping some of the largest hardwood forests , in the world. No railroad has over been built into that region, though its wealth of natural resource Is said to surpass that of all the rest of Mexico. The construction of the road is counted upon to make the harbor at Acapulco one of the busiest on the Paclfls coast. It is said to be one of tho finest natural harbors In the world and by making It an outlet for the vast resources of the Interior a heavy shipping ship-ping trado will develop. Mr.,Sncll says that there Is scarcely scarce-ly i any traco of the revolution in southom Mexico, tho entiro trouble being confined to tho territory lying north of the capital. In some sections of the south, news of the fighting has not yet been received. |
