Show EPHRAIM. From the Enterprise of Jan. 28 William Wolsey was over from Wales Monday. The Co op declared a dividend of 12 per cent, last week. Judge Johnsou was down from Spring City Saturday. The primaries had another dance at the Central school house Saturday night. There were nearly forty couples in attendance at the Elder's dance last week, and all reports a pleasant time. C. B. Dorius and family, Tom Neilson and Peter Neilson attended the wedding of Mr. Fred Miller and Miss Mary Olsen at Manti, .Wednesday evening. The home dramatic company held a meeting at the residence of Edwin Dor-ins Dor-ins Thursday evening, Several new members were taken in and it was deeided to play "Shamrock and Rose" in the near future. The Militia roll has received nearly the repaired number of signatures for a company and Ephraim will be ono of the first cities to furnish a company for the Utah National Guard. The Opera houso is engaged every night until February 5th. Aud still there are people in town who thinks an opera house would not pay here, Fred Metealf has Issued a challenge in behalf of the Gunnison band, to play against any band in Sevier connty for championship and a prize. There was a large crowd In attendance attend-ance at the weight dance last Saturday night, aud that they had a good time, eoes without saying. As the boys had to pay according to the weight of the girls they drew, there was a great demand for small girl. |
