' A Woman's Farm Bureau was organized with Mrs. Jode Murdock as president, Mrs. John William.-, vice president; Mrs. Eva Evans, secretary; Mrs. W. F. Cottrell, treasurer, and Mrs. Annie Atkin ; and Mrs. Nellie Schow as trustees. The first project, to be taken up by , the Milford ladies was the making of dress forms. ; Mrs. Xels Schow and daughter, Mrs. John Weston, had returned from a two months stay at Long j B. nch, California. I Mr. and Mrs. Mayron Lewis and i little son David had returned from a fishing trip to Puffers lake. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Scott Tanner who had been .-pending a few months with Mr. Tanner who was working on the I Puffers lake road. I Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Duncan and I Mr. and Mrs. Ed Arrington and I family had visited with Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Arrington at the Murdock Mur-dock academy A wedding reception had been , given Mr. and Mrs. Morris John- I son, who were married August 1. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. l'rnest Crandall, Mr. and Mrs. ' George Fernley, Mr. and Mrs, An-' tone Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. James, Boyter, Mrs.! Ilarry Larson and Mr. Crandall. ' I There hail been born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw, August 7, a 9'i xnmd baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Meyers were rejoicing over the arrival of a 10-pound boy, born August 3. D. K. Kirk and Joe Smith had .-pent Saturday and Sunday on l"i-h creek with hook and line. ! The M. W. C. club had donated curtains for the public library and also given a small sum to the Ladies Farm Bureau organization which had recently been organized. Open season for sage hens grouse from September 1 to 10, in all counties of Utah except Rich, had been declared by D. H. Mad-sen, Mad-sen, state fish and game commission, commis-sion, with not more than 12 birds for the season. Mr. and Mrs. William Cochrane and family, and Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Sterling and family had made their first trip to Puffers lake. In spite of the rain which fell every Hay they were delighted with the scenery. Mr. and Mrs. William Martin had attended a banquet spread in their honor at the McEwen ranch. Others present were Mrs. Brad-field Brad-field and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sedgwick and daughter Martha. Mr. and Mrs. Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Haskall and Mr. and Mrs. Whipple and family Among those from Milford attending at-tending the dedication of the Lehman Leh-man caves were Mr. and Mrs. D. N'. Hickman, Juanita Miller, Alta Griffiths, Irene Tanner, Sam Hickman, Hick-man, Merle Miller, and Thelka. Bonita and Helen James. o |
