Show Local Boy Returns From Successful -Two-Year Mission Speaking briefly at L. D. S. church serviced Sunday evening was Ira Mitchell Fisher, 21-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Parley BJ Fisher, who last week returned from a two-year mission for his church in the north central states, with headquarters at Minneapolis. During the major part of his mission mis-sion he served as mission secretary secre-tary and, though this gave him valuable experience along clerical lines, he still got in his share of trading, street preaching and visiting, vis-iting, without which missionary service is not complete. Always an energetic boy, he apparently gave his church the best he had in tireless tire-less and cheerful service and is a better man for having done so. Mr. Fisher was called to this mission after completing two years of college work at Logan and will return there this fall to complete work necessary to fit him for Smith-Hughes work in the high school. He was valedictorian of his class for Milford high school, 1933, and everything points to a brilliant bril-liant career for the young man. |
