Show EDWARD ROBERTS KILLED BY TRAIN MONDAY NOON Home funeral services were held at the Alton Robert home in Milford Mil-ford today (Thursday) for Edward Bruce Roberts, 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Roberts ol Milford, who was instantly killed at 1:30 p. m. last Monday, when he wos struck by the coach section of Union Pacific train No. 8, the Challenger, one mile south of town. Young Edward had been playinj with his dog, and evidently climbed climb-ed the railroad embankment aJid lay down alongside the tracks to rest. Upon the approach of the train, he raised up and was stiuck in the head by the engine. His dog ran to the boy's mother, who was searching for him, and led her to the scene of the tragic accident. acci-dent. He is survived by his parents, 'n infant brother, Carl Alton Roberts, Rob-erts, a grandmother, Mrs. Verma Bowles, of Callente, Nev., and the folowing aunts and uncles: Duane Roberts of Magill, Bill Roberta of the U. S. Navy, Mrs. Ruth Bason Bas-on of ' Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Norma Sampson of Ely, Max Roberts Rob-erts of the U. S. Navy, Dale Roberts Rob-erts of Pleasant Grove, Emmett Willden and Jay Cecil Wilden oi Beaver, Ora Robinson of Kanab, and Elaine Nielsen of Beaver. Services also will be held in the Beaver L.D.S. Church Friday, with interment in the Beaver cemetery. |
