Show BEAVER COUNTY MS MANY FLU CASES Communicable disease reports to the Utah state department of health from local health officers and physicians for the week ending end-ing November 30, show anther increase in the total number of cases over those reported for the previous week. A total of 656 resident res-ident and non-resident cases was reported for the week as compared with 428 for the previous week. "hree hundred and eighty-three cases of influenza were reported as compared with 225 for the previous pre-vious week. This, of course, does not represent complete reporting since many of the families do not call a physician and the cases therefore are not reported. According Ac-cording to school nurses and principals, prin-cipals, many of the schools throughout through-out the state show an absence from ill ness of from 10 to 20 ,per cent of the pupils. Reports indicate indi-cate that the type of influenza is still mild. However, it is recommended recom-mended that every effort be made to protect both children and adults from contact with those who have the infection and through warm clothing, adequate sleep, plenty of fluids, and an ample diet maintain a high state of body resistance. Beaver county diseases reported this week are: Influenza, 100 cases; chicken pox, 1; pneumonia. 3. |
