Maw, Capitol Building, "Salt Lake City, Utah. ' "With reference to road meeting being held on seventh concerning east-west road through Central Utah, this Lions Club in common with civic organizations, citizens, municipalities and county governments govern-ments of seven counties interested, urges that their proposed road program pro-gram be given favorable consideration, consider-ation, and particularly highway twenty-one west from Milford to Nevada State Line be brought to dustless standard. Promises in past have not materialized. Recent Re-cent fifty thousand dollar allocation alloca-tion for five miles appreciated but far short of material benefit. Cannot Can-not understand allocation sixty-six thousand for bridge and approaches Nephi-Leamington roac, and eighty thousand cm St. George to Veyo road and one hundred twenty-six thousand on Newcastle-Mo-dena road, all serving less people, having less economic value and not on through highways when twenty-one highway stinted to fifty thousand, unless studious effort being made to hold highway twenty-one down for benefit of other counties and communities in which road commission more interested. in-terested. If our counties and roads to be ignored would appreciate being be-ing so advised and avoid expense attending further meetings and waste of everyone's time including yours. Trust our aims at meeting receive favorable consideration by more than lipservice from road commission. Club willing to co-; operate in any way nnd hope meeting meet-ing results in accomplishing something some-thing of a substantial nature f'.r our benefit. , "LIONS CLUB OF MILFORD." |
