Show Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Kirk will leave the last of this week for Salt Lake City to spend the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Kirk returned re-turned last Sunday from Californir where they enjoyed a 10-day visit with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Kirk; their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Roberts, of Van Nuys, and Mrs. R. R. Shannon oi an Fernando. Mr. and Mrs. Roy H. Mills and daughter, Melody, spent last weekend week-end at the home of Mrs. Mills' parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Os-born. Os-born. Lane W. Frazier, AOM3C, has been discharged from the navy via the U. S. naval barracks, naval supply depot, Clearfield, according to a news release received here this week. SSgt. Alden V. Johnson, son of Mr. Nils M. Johnson, Milford, Utah, has been promoted from the grade of private first class and assigned the duties of mess sergeant in the 136th "Bearcat" Infantry reg- iment in the veteran S3rd Divi-1 Divi-1 sion, a part of the occupational forces in General Walter Krueger's Sixth Army on Honshu, Japan, according ac-cording to word received here this week. Jame3 L. Griffith, former four-star four-star Milford high school athlete, is home on a 21-day furlough from Las Vegas, where he has been stationed for 10 months as an aircraft air-craft inspector. Harold Beard, son of Mrs. Charles Beard, has received his discharge from the army air force. Pfc. Ray Thompson was in Milford Mil-ford last Saturday and Sunday visiting his family. Tine has served 13 months on a transport in the North Pacific. Nolan G. Williams, Aviation MM2 c. is home on a 30-dav leave. He Is stationed at Alameda, Calif. Miss Mavis Burnett of Oakland, Calif., Is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ferguson. Many cases of bad colds, scarlet fever and whooping cough have been reported In Milford. Mrs. Helen Walker met her husband, hus-band, Sgt. Eugene Walker, in Salt Lake City Sunday. Sgt. Walker has a 30-day furlough and will spend most of it in Salt Lake City Miss Betty Kinrose accompanied Mrs. Walker to Salt Lake City and returned Monday. Mrs. Mildred Eldrldge was in Salt Lake City last week on a business bus-iness and pleasure trip. Pvt. Vernon Hughes is home on a 15-day deferred furlough. |
